With only a handful of music-readers in the group, our ward priesthood quorums (adult and young men) received a call to sing this hymn at an upcoming meeting. This very simple arrangement calls for the men to sing in unison and a few tenors taking parts towards the end of verse 3. The quaint text seems especially appropriate given the setting of our, truly, mountain home.
Yay! A new piece! It’s beautiful! I’m going to have to convince our ward choir director to do a men’s number. Luckily we have a very talented men’s section.

Great! This came out nicely when performed (considering it was all the men – regardless of musical experience!). It’s a pretty little tune and they seemed to really enjoy performing it; it certainly brought a nice spirit.
