@Tonya: if you download the PDF that’s labeled “PIANO” you can get a score that puts the Primo and Secondo parts side by side. It’s 18 pages (8 page turns), but it’s really the only way to keep the two pianists (four hands) together. Good luck!
Is there any way to download so the accompaniment is not 28 pages long.
Thanks so much! I’m honored by your kind comments and certainly glad to hear that these arrangements are useful!
Steve,
This arrangement is spectacular! We sang it right before the summer break, and the congregation loved it. Thank you for making this caliber of music available for free to ward choirs, it adds so much to our meetings.

Wow! Thanks so much for your comments. I am truly honored. Good luck getting the new building up! We’ll certainly keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Steve -
I wanted to thank you for your generosity in posting this arrangement. I know how time consuming arranging is.
I’m in one of the two wards in Mukilteo, Washington who lost their meeting house to arson last October. I was asked to arrange for music for the groundbreaking ceremony today. The State Presidency suggested two different hymn for the choir to sing, and we had a very nice arrangement of one of them, but we were at a loss for “How Firm a Foundation. A quick Google search revealed your arrangement, and it worked perfectly. Not all available hymn arrangements are of equal quality – and it was a real pleasure to discovery your arrangement. Not only was it interesting, but it was every effective, was “doable” in a relatively short period of time (they only gave us two weeks notice!), and the choir members really enjoyed singing it.
Thanks again.
Hi Cheryl,
I’m not certain that music has been published. But, the best place to check would be with Ruby Beeson (owner) at Best in Music. Ruby sings with the choir and is an expert in LDS choral music. If it’s available, she’ll know where to find it. Good luck!
Do you know where I can find the descant for How Firm a Foundation sung in both the Relief Society and Young women broadcasts?
Thanks so much for your note. I’m so glad the piece worked out and helped bring the spirit to your meetings. Hope you continue to have great success with your choir.
We just sang this arrangement slightly modified today and it was a great success. I can’t tell you the number of people that said how much they loved it. Thanks for the good work.
You’re very welcome. I’m very glad the music could help with the spirit of the meetings (aren’t the hymns wonderful for that?). Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
We had a choir sing this as the closing number for our stake conference yesterday. As the priesthood leader approving the music for conference, I love the message of this hymn but was just a little concerned about it being “too familiar” and not as “impacting” as we would like. But this arrangement is so powerful – it held the attention of every listener and conveyed a powerful spirit. It was a wonderful capstone to a conference weekend. Thank you for sharing so generously!
You’re quite welcome; I hope the performance goes well and brings the Spirit to your meetings.
Thank you! Our choir will be working on this for September. . . This is my all time favorite hymn and I just took a chance and googled it today. . . Stay true and be blessed!
